The history of our guesthouse "Alte Schmiede" can be traced back to the 18th century. The barn is likely one of the oldest surviving buildings in the town of Bleckede. 

In 2017 and 2018, the main building underwent a complete renovation, preserving its listed exterior facade. Today, you can enjoy the modern luxury of a top-class vacation apartment combined with the charm of a historic building. Exposed, ancient beams, remaining elements from past centuries, and some adventurous, sloping floors give each apartment its own unique character. 

Each vacation apartment has its own special features and is suitable for shorter stays as well as for one- to two-week vacations exploring the Elbe River, the Heath, and Hamburg.
